As part of our ongoing hiring process during our pre-opening stage, we’re currently looking for a Business Travel Sales Manager to join our team. This new associate will handle national corporate business travel sales and transient volume accounts. In this sales role, they will be expected to identify, secure, maintain and grow new existing and accounts.

Keepin’ It Cool

Summer days in Chicago can be hot and humid, but don’t worry- we’ve prepared for that. On the very top of our building we have 2 large air conditioners. Now when we say large, we’re not talking about your neighbor’s huge central air unit.

Our air conditioners take up a quarter of our roof, and had to be lifted up with a crane. The other option that would get them up there- a helicopter, but we thought that was overkill on the cool scale.

The job of these units is to cool the community sections of the hotel. So if this isn’t cool enough for you, each room will have its own unit where the guest controls the temperature.

This #SiteVisit Friday we have another new development to unveil: elevators!

This is one of three elevators at The Godfrey, however this is the main set of elevators for our guests. These guys reside in the lobby and will be getting lots of use soon.

They will be up and running in no time. Stay tuned for more #SiteVisit updates!

Amenity Announcement

One important aspect of building The Godfrey includes selecting the best washroom amenities that most closely align with our property’s brand. It’s a decision that’s based upon a variety of factors and extensive industry research. Not surprisingly, The Washington Post reports that high end bath amenities are a key distinguishing factor that separate luxury properties from budget hotels. When the time came to determine the brand that would supply our bath amenities we wanted a name that future customers would trust; a company whose products are luxurious, indulgent and of the utmost quality. A Look at our Quiet Side

The Godfrey hotel has a fabulous city view from all angles. We managed to snag a shot of the view looking north before the windows were put in.

This view shows the “little things” that make Chicago so great. Our location is in a relaxed neighborhood of Chicago, but a quick walk in any direction will take you to the best entertainment, food, and fun the city can offer.
