The Summer of Giveaways: June Instagram

To celebrate the unofficial start of summer, we want to bring you the chance to have a #GodfreyStyle staycation or last-minute getaway. We’re hosting a flash giveaway over on Instagram (@GodfreyBoston) for today only. One person will win an overnight stay at The Godfrey Hotel Boston for the date of their choosing this month.

Head over to our most recent photo, give it a like, follow us and tell us what you love most about Boston in the summer. You have until tomorrow morning (Thursday, June 2nd) at 10 am EST. We’ll pick one winner at random on June 2nd and notify them via Instagram DM, so keep an eye out.

And – be sure to check back on July 1 for another giveaway on one of our social profiles!   

And, to make everything fair, a few rules for the Giveaway:

  • The Godfrey Hotel Boston is the sponsor of this Giveaway.
  • Must be 21 or over at the time of entry and a legal, U.S. resident. No purchase necessary to enter or win. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. INTERNET ACCESS, A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS, A FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM or TWITTER ACCOUNT, AND PHOTO UPLOADING CAPABILITY REQUIRED.
  • Only one winner will be selected by management at The Godfrey Hotel Boston. The winner can select his or her own guest to accompany him or her.
  • Be creative. No profanity, no illegal or offensive or inappropriate submissions. No entries that defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Sponsor, or its products or services or other people, products or companies.
  • If including a photo, the photo must be an original that you submit and must be your own photo that you either took as a selfie, you captured, or someone took for you.
  • There is no daily or overall limit on the number of entries per Entrant during the Giveaway Period.
  • No photos of you, the entrant, consuming alcohol.
  • By entering, you grant The Godfrey Hotel Boston, The Godfrey Hotel Chicago, and its ownership the right to use your photo in current or future marketing efforts if they wish, including but not limited to social media sites, websites, public relations and advertising. The hotel does not guarantee the posting of any photo.
  • To enter, you must have a public profile on the social media sites of Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and you must tag @GodfreyBoston and use #GodfreyStyle in the entry.
  • Management at The Godfrey Hotel Boston will decide the winner of the giveaway. All decisions are final. Winner will be notified via social media to privately share their email, phone and mailing address with The Godfrey Hotel Boston.
  • No cash substitutions will be provided and no transfer of any prize to a third party is permitted. Submissions of entries will be accepted at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Each winner will be solely responsible for paying all applicable federal, state and local taxes on prizes. If applicable, winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the prize retail value. Guest Room Mobile Key Access

We’re excited to announce with OpenKey, the industry standard for universal mobile key access, that we are now offering our guests the convenience of digital key room access via OpenKey’s app.

OpenKey is helping to reinvent the hospitality experience by allowing guests authorized and secure access to their hotel room from their smartphone or mobile device. Our guests now have access to their rooms and additional conveniences to customize their stay via the app.

Guests can download the app directly onto their mobile device, check in on their way from the airport and go straight to their room while enjoying the convenience and security of smartphone room access.” – Brian Shedd, OpenKey Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

With the recent release of OpenKey Version 2.0, our guests are able to manage their check-in, call the front desk directly, confirm their identity with an ID capture for security and send their estimated time of arrival (ETA) to the hotel.

Opening Celebrations: The Evening Reception

Following our Wednesday morning ribbon cutting ceremony, we hosted an evening receptions for our neighbors, friends and guests.

Our friends at Yvonne’s catered our food and beverage, our partner at George Howell Coffee shared up a sampling of coffee-based beverages and DJ Liz Ladoux made sure the music was flowing all night long.

Guest Room Details

A few weeks ago, we hosted a couple of hard hat media tours where we toured the lobby, the George Howell space and the guest rooms. As we near our opening date this winter, it was exciting to show our guests the details in the guest rooms as they come together.

Following shows some of the extra details in our rooms to create a luxurious experience for our future guests.

The brand of robes we will have in our guest rooms is Frette - a luxury line out of Italy.The Frette linens and Heeley bath products make the rooms comfortable for our guests, while the decor makes them a relaxing oasis from the fast-paced energy of Downtown Crossing.

InnSpire Partnership Keeps Our Guests Connected

We are excited to announce that we have selected Stockholm-based InnSpire to provide Mobile & IPTV services to all of our guests. In adopting this cutting edge hospitality technology, we are the first U.S. hotel to offer InnSpire services on site.

Each one of our 242 rooms is outfitted with InnSpire’s award-winning “Guest Media Streaming” technology, allowing our guests to use personal mobile devices to stream photos, videos, and music of their choice directly to the 55” HDTV in their room. Simultaneously, guests are able to access hotel amenities such as room service, concierge information, and in-room spa services.
